Work with Me
My work has evolved significantly in recent years. Alongside direct client work, I now devote substantial time to writing, developing educational resources, consulting with clinicians, and advancing my training in forensic psychology. To balance these responsibilities responsibly — and to maintain the high level of presence, clarity, and attunement that clients deserve — I’m shifting to a more focused weekly schedule.
This restructuring supports the long-term sustainability of my practice and ensures that the work I offer remains thoughtful, well-prepared, and grounded. By limiting the number of client days each week, I can continue to provide high-quality individualized support while also dedicating time to writing, teaching, and ongoing professional growth.

My work integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), predictive processing, sensory and interoceptive science, and a deeply neuroaffirming lens. I specialize in supporting autistic adults, parents, couples, and professionals who feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves and their environments.I work slowly, deeply, and intentionally. As an autistic practitioner and author, I structure my practice for sustainability and presence: no more than 12 clients per week, with a strong emphasis on relational safety and regulation. Because of this, client availability is often limited — but there are multiple ways we can work together.
ONGOING INDIVIDUAL WORK (Limited Availability)
I offer ongoing IFS sessions for autistic adults, highly sensitive people, and individuals wanting to understand their mind-body system through a predictive processing lens. My caseload is intentionally small so I can stay attuned to your individual needs. When full, I maintain a short waitlist for clients who are a strong long-term fit. These sessions may be right for you if you’re looking for:
-
Understanding of sensory, interoceptive, or emotional overwhelm
-
Unmasking support
-
Nervous-system regulation and pacing
-
Trauma-informed IFS work
-
A deeper understanding of how your internal system adapts to uncertainty
-
A space where your neurotype is honored and affirmed
Session Fees:
•Individual Work (55 minutes): $200 ($250 as of 1/1/2026)
•Couples Work (55–60 minutes): $250 ($300 as of 1/1/2026)
I do not work with insurance companies.
Consultations
ONE-TIME OR SHORT-TERM CONSULTATION
This is often the best starting place. Consultations offer focused insight without the commitment of ongoing therapy and can be scheduled more quickly. Ideal for:
-
Autistic adults seeking clarity, validation, or guidance
-
Parents navigating sensory, emotional, or behavioral differences
-
People who resonate with my writing or interviews and want tailored insight
-
Individuals wanting a neuroaffirming interpretation of their experiences
-
Those exploring autism, masking, burnout, or self-understanding
Fee:
One-time consultation (55 minutes): $350
Consultations are educational and supportive in nature and are not therapy.
PROFESSIONAL CONSULTATION (Clinicians & Practitioners)
I consult with therapists, coaches, educators, and organizations using an integrative lens that combines IFS, predictive processing, sensory science, and neuroaffirming practice. I can support you with:
-
Case conceptualization
-
Autistic clients with complex presentations
-
Sensory and interoceptive differences
-
Predictive processing frameworks•Masking, burnout, and regulation
-
Treatment pacing for high-arousal systems
-
Neuroaffirming adaptations for therapy spaces
Fee:
Professional consultation (55 minutes): $275 ($350 as of 1/1/2026)
UPCOMING GROUP CONSULTATIONS
Small, supportive workshops for autistic adults, parents, and clinicians.
I offer 90-minute group consultations for up to 8 participants twice a month on Fridays from 10.00-11.30am ET. These groups blend neuroscience, sensory science, lived experience, and Internal Family Systems to help you understand the autistic brain through a predictive processing lens. Each group is structured, clear, and designed to reduce overwhelm. You’ll leave with practical tools, a coherent framework, and deeper self-understanding.
Fee: $100 | Duration: 90 minutes | Format: Zoom

MY APPROACH
My work brings together:
-
Internal Family Systems
-
Predictive Processing Framework
-
Sensory and interoceptive science
-
Trauma-informed and neuroaffirming practice
-
Regulation through pacing and relational safety
I believe people make sense in a deeply biological and computational one. Our systems adapt to the environments we inhabit. Understanding these patterns with compassion and accuracy allows for transformation. If you feel misunderstood or misinterpreted by past providers, my approach may be grounding and clarifying.

"As a retired social worker, I was so humbled to learn from Sarah. It made me think back on so many clients that I have treated where this knowledge would have made a difference. I dare say her teaching was a game changer. I look forward to sharing it with colleagues who are still actively in practice and I can't wait to get the book!!!!"
Jasmine Ueng-McHale, PhD
“Sarah’s innovative application of machine learning to the understanding of autism transformed my understanding of the experiences of people with autism. Providing clear examples from everyday life, she highlights how bottom-up versus top-down cognitive processing of experience and the importance of predictability powerfully influence behavior and emotional responses for autistic individuals.” —
Linda Weber, LCSW
"Sarah's concise, clear, and engaging teaching of how autism shows up in our clients and the impact that it has on their nervous systems was extremely helpful. The understanding of autism that Sarah helped me embrace has changed the conversations I am having with some of my clients and I am more effective in helping them make sense to themselves and be more comfortable accepting how they need to navigate being in the world."
